Sewing machine workshop for total beginners

Have you always wanted to know how to sew with a sewing machine but is very scared of it? Or do you have a sewing machine but have no idea how to use it?

I avoided sewing machines because I was scared of it, scared I would hurt myself, that I would break it. A few years ago, I faced my fear and I discovered sewing, the best thing ever! The experience was empowering. So come and empower yourself.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of sewing with a sewing machine such as:

1. How to thread the machine
2. How to load a bobbin
3. How to change a needle
4. The different stitches you can do and what they are for
5. How to use a pattern

You will then complete a simple project using second hand fabrics like making a stuffed owl to decorate your home.

All materials are provided. Feel free to bring old clothes or fabrics you want to use.

Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. All must have a ticket.
