Chinstrap penguins upcycled mug

Have you ever dreamt of going to Antarctica? Pack your bag and let’s go. Feel the cold breeze on your cheeks, the sun in your eyes. You are walking in the snow, all you can hear is the sound of the wind. Suddenly, they are here. They look gorgeous with their black and white colours and pinky wings and feet.

Inside the cup is a painting I made of the Antarctica mountains with the sun matching the colour of the penguin’s wings. Being inside the mugs, it feels like the penguins are in front of them. Plus, once you pour coffee into the cup with some milk, you will have the impressions that the mountains are floating on sea ice.

I transferred the paintings onto the mug using ceramic decals. I fired the piece in a kiln to make the paintings permanent. It is safe to use with food and drinks and also dishwasher and microwave safe.
