Flying parakeet upcycled crossbody bag

This bag was inspired by the walks I take in the nearby park. I hand painted the parakeet and sewed it onto the flap made of denim. I then added leaves with denim and embroidered the main branch to have the feel that the parakeet is about to land on the branch. I then sewed all fabrics together into this crossbody bag.

The bag is sturdy as I added foam batting inside and is waterproof. On the inside, there is a zip pocket and a magnetic fastener closes the bag. It can hold A5 books. It has a removal and adjustable handle.

This upcycled bag took many hours of detailed work to be created. It is a unique piece.

This bag can only be hand washed.
