Squirrel friends upcycled mugs and coffee cups

Have you seen pictures of a squirrel humming a flower? That's what inspired me.

I watercolour painted these two squirrels separately but with the same flower, a blue hibiscus. So when it was time to upcycle the mugs with the ceramic decals of the paintings, I put the decals on two different mugs. I made sure that when placed side by side, the mugs would tell the story of this friendship.

I added the branches of trees with leaves I painted all around the mugs to create the feel of a forest.

I fired the pieces so the paintings are permanent. They are safe to use with drinks. They are also microwave and dishwasher safe.

These two are unique and part of a small collection featuring these two squirrels.
