Squirrels upcycled jewelry box in the form of an acorn

Imagine you are a little squirrel. You live with your family in an acorn house in the woods. When it’s too cold outside, you and your family are squeezing together to keep warm. But today is a sunny day! You and your brothers and sisters are playing outside in the trees. When it’s time to come home, you see that the door has been opened. You look at the window and do you see?

This is the story I wanted to tell with this unique box in the form of an acorn. I painted three different windows with squirrels looking. I designed them so the inside matches the outside, like they were real windows. I did the same thing for the door. And for the inside, I painted a sleeping fox.

I used ceramic decals of my watercolour paintings. I fired the piece so the paintings are permanent and safe to use with food and drinks.
