Swimming penguin upcycled plate

Imagine you are diving in the Southern ocean. It is cold but so peaceful. You love the deep blue colour of the ocean. You start hearing some weird noises so you decide to go back to the surface. And then what a surprise! Just in front of you is gentoo penguin swimming towards you. You can’t believe it! He doesn’t seem to have noticed you. He looks so pretty. You feel grateful for being here.

Thanks to this upcycled plate, you don’t need to travel all the way to Antarctica. I painted this swimming penguin during the time I was obsessed by them. I liked imagining him swimming at the surface.

I upcycled this plate using the ceramic decal of the painting I made. I fired the piece so the painting is permanent. It is safe to use with food and drinks. It is also dishwasher and microwave safe.

This is the only ceramic I upcycled using this painting.
